The 2018 Australasian Police and Emergency Services Games have kicked off in Mandurah on Sunday afternoon.

Thousands flocked to the opening ceremony hosted by Nine News Perth presenter Tracy Vo at Mandurah Foreshore.

The ceremony kicked off with a live demonstration by the Tactical Response Group delivering a flag to the shore from their tactical boats.

The WA Police Pipe Band led the competing teams along the foreshore to the stage.

There was plenty going on with a number of guest speakers including WA Police Commissioner Chris Dawson and Mandurah Mayor Rhys Williams, a performance by the Bindjareb Dance Group, fireworks and live. entertainment.
