Breaking: Woman injured after car and truck crash in central Mandurah

Firefighters have cut a woman free after a car and truck crash in central Mandurah on Friday.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Tuckey and George Street after reports a Hyundai SUV and truck collided about 10:30am.

It’s understood the truck was travelling west along Tuckey Street while the SUV was travelling south on George Street when the two collided.

Mandurah firefighters arrived to find a passenger, a woman, trapped in the SUV and were forced to cut her out.

The driver of the SUV and the truck have walked away without any serious physical injuries.

St John Ambulance has taken the passenger to hospital, the extent of her injuries are unclear at this stage.

Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
