Mandurah police and detectives cordoned off a section of the Mandurah Ocean Marina after a man was found with severe injuries and sadly died this morning.
St John Ambulance was called to Spinnaker Quays, near Outrigger Way about 8am, after reports an older man was injured.
It’s understood the man, in his 90s, was fishing when he collapsed.
Witnesses said they saw two ambulances at the scene, as a man received Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).
Tragically, the man couldn’t be saved and was declared deceased at Peel Health Campus.
Detectives probed the scene for most of the day as they pieced together exactly what happened.
Investigators later ruled out any foul play and determined the death to be non-suspicious.
A section of Spinnaker Way was closed for several hours but has since reopened.
