Detectives investigate suspicious Coodanup house fire

Mandurah Detectives are investigating a suspicious blaze at a Coodanup home on Friday.

About 11:30pm, emergency services were called to reports of a house fire on Albermarle Close.

Firefighters arrived to a house billowing smoke.

The fire was believed to be deliberately lit in three separate areas of the home.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) estimated the damage bill to be at $50,000.

Neighbours said police were called to the property hours earlier because windows could be heard being smashed.

It’s understood a woman who lives at the address wasn’t home at the time.

Police guarded the scene through the night.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
