Driver airlifted after Bouvard crash

The RAC Rescue helicopter has flown a woman to hospital after a single-car crash in Bouvard.

The crash happened about 8:15am, on Old Coast Road near Estuary Road.

It’s understood the blue hatchback was headed northbound when it left the road and crashed into a tree.

Firefighters had to cut the 18-year-old driver out of the car which was observed on its side in bushland.

Old Coast Road was closed for just over two hours as the RAC Rescue helicopter was forced to land at the scene.

The road reopened as of 10am, traffic is now flowing as per normal.
