Driver injured after bus and truck crash south of Mandurah

One person has been rushed to hospital after a bus and truck crash south of Mandurah this morning.

It’s understood a WesTrac truck and a TransPerth bus collided on Old Coast Road near Tim’s Thicket Road in Dawesville just before 7am.

Witnesses told Skeer Media there were three ambulances at the scene.

A Public Transport Authority spokesperson confirmed the crash involved one of their buses.

“There were no passengers on board the bus, which was travelling empty from the depot to start its route,” the spokesperson said.

“An ambulance was called for the bus driver, who was taken to hospital.

“WA Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the collision.”

St John Ambulance said one person had been taken to Royal Perth Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
