Firefighters have been called to a yacht blaze for the second time in Rockingham today.
Crews were initially called to Mangles Bay along the Esplanade after reports a boat was on fire just before 2:30pm.
Water Police and Sea Rescue transported firefighters to the vessel located 150 metres off the shoreline.
The 42-foot fero-cement yacht called ‘Blythe Spirit’ reignited about 6:40pm.
Firefighters from Rockingham watched on as they waited for watercraft to transport them.
Blythe Spirit, attached to recreational mooring AO399, has sustained extensive damage and will likely sink according to Marine Safety.
Water users are advised to take caution in the area.
The cause of the fire is undetermined at this stage.
