Harcourts Mandurah has recently donated winter needs to those in the community living it rough in the colder months.
Hands Up Team volunteer Kath Palmer accepted more than 30 sleeping bags and puffer jackets and up to six baskets of non-perishable food items for those in need last week.
Harcourts said they jumped on the donation opportunity when they heard the Hands Up Team received more the 60 requests for assistance, including an older woman surviving on nothing but ice cubes in recent months due to financial hardship.
“It’s been a particularly tough winter so far and we are happy to do our small bit in assisting those most in need,” Harcourts Mandurah licensee Paul Blakely said.
“We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of our staff who have contributed towards this collection and we are particularly proud of Matt and Karen Ikin, who have done an outstanding job in making this happen.”
