Police have located an 82-year-old missing in the Rockingham area overnight.
Mr Warbrook was found about 9:50am and taken to Rockingham General Hospital for a checkup.
A wide scale search was underway in Rockingham after 82-year-old John Warbrook went missing on Tuesday.
It’s understood Mr Warbrook was last seen leaving an aged care facility on Langley Street about 1:50pm.
Police and SES teams from across Perth swarmed the area including surrounding Cooloongup, Safety Bay, Shoalwater, along with search dogs and assistance from the police helicopter.
Crews searched high and low through dunes of the Rockingham Foreshore and nearby bushland, particularly focussing their efforts around Lake Richmond, several hundred metres from where he was last seen.
Authorities weren’t the only ones searching well into the night, the community also joined the effort, doing whatever they could to help.
Residents used torches to search nearby scrub on bikes, on foot and in cars.
A control centre was set up on Langley Street as authorities worked to track Mr Warbrook.
