A Crash has claimed the life of a man in Ravenswood on Sunday.

It happened about 4:30am, it’s believed the Holden Commodore station wagon was headed west on Old Mandurah Road in Ravenswood, when the driver lost control, took out a power pole and crashed into a pipeline.

The 22-year-old Mandurah man received serious injuries and died at the scene.

Old Mandurah Road remained closed for several hours as Major Crash detectives spent the day investigating the accident.

Meanwhile 300 homes were left without electricity as Western Power worked to restore and fix the broken pole.
