Mandurah rideshare driver charged with alleged sexual assault

A Mandurah rideshare driver has been charged with the alleged sexual assault of a woman on February 28.
Sex Assault Squad detectives said the woman, in her 20s, was picked up by a rideshare vehicle from a location in Mandurah before the driver allegedly sexually assaulted her during the journey about 1:15am.
The driver has been charged with Sexual Penetration without Consent and one count of Unlawful and Indecent Assault.
The 37-year-old is due to appear in the Fremantle Magistrates Court today.
Police have notified the relevant ride-share companies and the Department of Transport of the arrest.
