Miami Bake House staff threatened at knifepoint

Police have released more details after an armed man terrorised staff at Miami Bake House in Falcon.

The Regional Investigations Unit said the man entered the bakery armed with a knife about 6:05am on November 23.

Investigators said the man threatened a staff member and demanded cash.

It’s understood the staff member escaped physical injury and the man left empty handed.

Detectives said the man was wearing a black hooded jumper, black pants and a pair of sunglasses.

They believe he was seen shortly before the incident riding a pushbike along Old Coast Road in Falcon.

Miami Bakehouse was forced to close for the day with the pie shop turned into a crime scene as forensic police and detectives gathered evidence and information.

The bakery refused to comment on the matter.

Detectives would like to speak with anyone who may have seen the man or has dashcam vision of the area around the time of the incident.

Investigators urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
