One injured after footpath dirt bike crash in Karnup
A man has been injured after a dirt bike crashed on a footpath in Karnup this afternoon.
Skeer News understands two off-road motorcycles were travelling on the footpath which runs along the Kwinana Freeway when one of them crashed into a fence near the Paganoni Road overpass after coming close to a group of cyclists about 1:15pm.
The group of cyclist stopped to assist the rider until emergency services arrived.
A St John Ambulance spokesperson said the 18-year-old was treated at the scene for possible spinal injuries before he was taken to Fiona Stanley Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
It’s unclear if the injured man was a passenger or riding the motorcycle at the time of the crash.
Police are investigating.
