Passengers rushed to hospital after Baldivis crash

Two people were taken to hospital after a serious crash in Baldivis overnight.

The two-car crash happened about 7:45pm, on Karnup Road near the Kwinana Freeway overpass.

The occupants, believed to be in their 20s, were treated at the scene by St John Ambulance.

It’s understood a male driver sustained minor injuries while two of his female passengers were also injured.

One of the female passengers is understood to have sustained a suspected broken wrist while the other left the scene with acute abdominal pain.

The driver of the second sedan also sustained minor injuries.

An off-duty policewoman was on her way home from work when she came across the crash.

The officer and bystanders assisted until further help arrived.

Police were the first on scene along with firefighters from Secret Harbour and Mandurah, who all commenced first aid on those involved.

Two St John Ambulance’s arrived a short time after.

Karnup Road eastbound was closed for just under an hour as emergency services, and tow truck drivers cleared the scene.
