Police ask for public assistance after Coodanup number plate theft

Police are seeking the identity of a man who may be able to assist with a number plate theft in Coodanup on July 4.

About 11.50am, police alleged the man used a cordless drill to unscrew the front and rear number plates of a white car on Steerforth Drive.

Police allege the man allegedly removed the plates and drove off in a silver coloured Ford.

Police released a CCTV image of a man who they believe may be able to assist them with their investigation.

The man is described as light skinned, medium build and dark hair.

He was wearing a dark coloured shirt and long pants.
