It’s believed a motorcycle rider and a passenger fled the scene of a crash in Mandurah on Sunday night.

About 9:45pm, paramedics and police officers responded to a reported crash on Pinjarra Road, near Randell Street, and located a stolen dirt bike and two helmets, but no occupants.

It’s believed the rider and the passenger fled the scene and abandoned the allegedly stolen motorcycle.

The duo were located by police a short time later at Peel Health Campus, where they were being treated for minor injuries.

Witnesses said they had seen the dirt bike ridden dangerously through a red light well before the crash happened.

Charges are yet to be laid.

Police are now trying to locate the owner of the motorcycle.
