A rogue cow has caused havoc for a driver travelling along Pinjarra Road on Saturday evening.
About 9pm, a white Ford hatchback struck a brown cow near the Pinjarra Golf Course.
Police were forced to shoot the animal after it continued to stumble around, with severe injuries, after the collision.
A police spokesman said the department contacted rangers but they were unable to attend.
A man in his 30s and a woman in her 20s walked away unharmed.
The local fire and rescue crew was on hand to wash the residue off the duel carriageway.
The front end of the hatchback was significantly damaged on impact.
