Secret Harbour family home set on fire

Arsonists set fire to the front of a Secret Harbour family’s home on Friday.

About 10:20pm, two people were captured on CCTV pouring an accelerant over the car and the front door of an Allatoona Avenue property across from Comet Bay College.

It’s understood the two left the jerrycan at the door and lit the flammable liquid on fire.

Skeer Media was at the scene as the family and neighbours used a garden house to try and extinguish the blaze.

Firefighters and police rushed to the house shortly after the fire started.

The front door of the home was seen charred while the rest of the property had minor smoke damage.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services estimated the damage bill to be about $2,000 dollars.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
