SES kept busy as wild weather hits Mandurah | Video

The State Emergency Service was kept busy with window blowouts and fallen trees as wild weather hit the South West overnight.

The SES was inundated with calls, especially in the Mandurah area.

Th Mandurah SES were kept especially busy responding to more than 10 call outs across the Peel region throughout the night.

A two-storey beachfront home in Silver Sands had a large living room window blown out just before 6pm.

The SES boarded up the damaged area which took them more than an hour.

The team was also called to assist with water damage in San Remo, a tree on a house in Lakelands, and several other jobs across the area.

Other call outs included damaged air-conditioning units, tiles which had flung from roofs and flooding.

The Bureau of Meteorology issued severe weather and wind warning about midday on Friday, for the Lower West, South West, South Coastal and parts of Great Southern and Central Wheat Belt districts.

Wind gusts of more than 100 kilometers per hour were recorded in Ocean Reef and Cape Leeuwin.
