Tourists crash driving wrong way down freeway near Mandurah | Video

A minivan believed to be full of foreign tourists crashed after allegedly driving down the wrong side of the Kwinana Freeway, near Mandurah on Tuesday.

Vision shows a group of tourists standing in the median strip about 11:30am, with their suitcases as the Kia Carnival faces towards traffic.

Visible damage can be seen to the van and the traffic sign.

A source told Skeer Media the van was hired from the company Europcar.

Europcar has been contacted for comment.

The vehicle was allegedly sighted traveling south on the wrong side of the freeway against traffic.

It’s understood no one was injured.

It’s not known how long the van was traveling down the wrong side of the freeway.

Europcar is understood to have sent their contracted tow truck driver to collect the minivan from the scene.
