Traffic gridlock after car flips on Mitchell Freeway

Traffic has been been brought to a standstill on the Mitchell Freeway on Tuesday.

About 5pm, a sedan crashed a flipped onto its roof in the north-bound lands of the freeway.

Two lanes have been opened and traffic is at a crawl leading up to Powis Street exit.

Motorists are advised to seek an alternative route with traffic backed up over 10 kilometres.
