The fire investigations unit are working to determine the cause of a house fire in Golden Bay on Friday.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services received reports a home was alight on Marillana Drive, near Dampier Driver and the Golden Bay Foreshore, about 8:10pm.
Firefighters arrived to find the upper level of the two-storey home engulfed in flames.
Bystander Tate Ledwich was nearby when the fire started, he told Skeer Media the scene was “crazy”.
“Sounded like fireworks going off,” he said.
“looks that everyone was able to make it out alive.”
Firefighters from Mandurah and Rockingham managed to get the blaze under control within 30 minutes.
Western Power and police also attended the scene.
Fire Investigation Officers are investigating the cause of the blaze.
