A man has been airlifted to hospital after a motorcycle crash on the Kwinana Freeway Monday morning.

It’s alleged about 11am, the rider was travelling south on the freeway between Mandjoogoordap Drive and Lakes Road when he crashed.

It’s believed the man made contact with the trailer of another vehicle and sustained serious leg injuries.

The RAC rescue helicopter transported the man to hospital.

The Kwinana Freeway was closed southbound, between the two exits, as traffic was diverted onto Mandjoogoordap Drive, causing delays through to Mandurah Road.
