Driver injured in Mandurah CBD crash

A driver has been injured after a crash in Mandurah’s CBD on Saturday.

Its understood the car crashed into a light pole on Mandurah Terrace near Gibson Street about 2:30am.

The front of the Holden Commodore could be seen suspended in the air after it got stuck on the pole.

St John Ambulance attended the scene to help the injured driver.

Police closed Mandurah Terrace in both directions as firefighters and Western Power worked to clear the area and make it safe.

Skeer Media understands the car belongs to a woman who was living out of the station wagon.

Its believed an altercation occurred between her and the driver before the crash.

Police confirmed 35-year-old man was taken to Peel Health Campus with serious injuries.

The circumstances surrounding the incident are being investigated.

Earlier details and Skeer Media sources suggested the car was been driven by the woman at the time of the crash, however, police have said this was not the case.
