Woman sexually assaulted at knifepoint in Golden Bay home

A woman has been sexually assaulted by a masked man with a knife in her Golden Bay home on Sunday.

Sex Assault Detectives said an unknown man entered a Thunderlarra Drive property while wearing a balaclava and wielding a knife between 12:30 and 1:30am.

“He confronted the woman, sexually assaulting her before fleeing,” detectives said.

The suburban Golden Bay Street where the incident took place is also home to Golden Bay Primary School.

The man is described as fair-skinned with a muscular build and approximately 175cms tall and was last seen wearing a black balaclava, jeans and a red jacket.

Detectives urge anyone who saw any suspicious person, has CCTV or dash-cam vision of the area around the time of the incident to come forward.
