A woman has been taken to hospital after a serious crash south of Perth.
Just before 7pm authorities were called to an isolated stretch of road 7 kilometres south west of Serpentine.
It’s understood the woman crashed into a tree along Henderson Road near Hopeland Road.
St John Ambulance and a critical community paramedic attended to the woman who was trapped.
Firefighters from Mandurah and Armadale had to cut the woman free.
The RAC Rescue helicopter landed nearby to transport the woman, however, it was no longer needed.
There was also a significant police presence with more than four units called to the crash site.
A St John Ambulance spokesperson said the woman was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance.
The extent of the woman’s injuries are unclear.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are yet to be confirmed.
